This program offers information, support and guidance for family and friends of people with borderline personality disorder, so they can better understand their relationship dynamics. Participants will learn about borderline personality disorder and acquire tools for maintaining a health life balance. Attendance is required at all 10 workshops in this series. A preliminary meeting with the facilitator must be scheduled before the start of the workshops to determine whether they will meet your expectations and needs.

  • Understanding relationship issues – Members only

This is a series of three workshops (attendance is mandatory for all three dates). Participants will learn to better identify their role with their loved one in distress, examine their relationship issues, and identify their own needs.

  • Workshops: deepen your understanding to improve your response – Members only

Each of these monthly workshops will address a specific disorder (e.g., bipolarity, personality disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders), to help participants learn about and recognize its characteristics. It takes time to come to terms with the fact that a loved one is living with a mental health disorder. Through these workshops, participants will better understand and identify how these disorders impact their relationship, while providing tools for responding more effectively.
