This talk seeks to educate family and friends of people living with mental health issues on the complex relationship between mental health issues and addiction, to help them better understand and support their loved ones.
Sylvie Bédard holds a bachelor’s degree in sexology and counselling and a master’s degree in social work (1999). She also obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees in addiction studies from Université de Sherbrooke. She currently holds a position at Université de Sherbrooke and runs a private practice for clients dealing with a variety of mental health issues. She also works as a clinical supervisor and educator with a focus on addiction and mental health.
